The Seven Isles Narrated

Spaceships!

Chiming in on one of these rare moments, but hopefully not as rare in the future, to say that Jay's finished another stellar narration. The Chains of Hope completes the audio versions of the Seven Isles--yep, all 7 books are now out everywhere in audio. If you've been waiting to knock out the whole saga one after another, well, wait no more!

Beyond that, the third book in the Raker's Saga will be dropping any day now. It's a bit shorter than its fellows, which sometimes happens in a series where you don't have a billion plot threads to wrap up in the last book. It's also a finale - I'm not trying to set up sequels, which means we jump right in from the get-to and ride the lightning to the end, where everyone either survives with extreme trauma or dies horribly (the only two possible outcomes in sci-fi and fantasy, I've found).

There's aliens and tacos, which are basically my two goals going into any new sci-fi novel.

On another side note - as the Oscars did their long-winded thing this past weekend, I'll say that Sinners was my personal best-of-the-bunch. One Battle had its moments (Benicio's dojo sensei was great fun). I wound up watching, in pieces, most of the nominees and didn't dislike any, which is a rarity for any given year. Guess what I'm saying is, I appreciate when awards introduce me to quality, interesting entertainment that I wouldn't have found otherwise. Even if, with three kids, there was no hope of me actually watching the show.

Sorry Conan.
